Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

Ended up being some internal connection problems (my headlights both worked, but the turn signals didn't work or were sporadic).

No unique explicit quoted action; no causal link assigned

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have searched and the answer to this question has evaded me ... what causes this: when turning on the litronic headlights in a 996 the passenger light comes on for just a second and then goes off. The driverside turns on normally ... any clues ...

POST 2Original post

Hey Luke - I posted with a similar prob. a couple weeks ago. Ended up being some internal connection problems (my headlights both worked, but the turn signals didn't work or were sporadic). FWIW it's fixed with a $125 invoice

POST 3Original post

So, you turn on the headlights, and the passenger overhead light comes on? Gremlins, man. Gremlins . Never heard of it before.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I figred it was just a connection problem and was planning on looking into it this weekend ... thought I would ask and see if anybody had a similar experience

POST 5Original post

Luke, the bulb could be going out and the ballast not being able to power it properly now. Another thing you can try is re-seating the headlight assembly.
