One back wheel has very light curb rash on it and the rear tires were replaced approx 1500 miles ago.

Hi, I am looking at a 2002 996 C4S. The car has 13,500 miles on it currently. Manual transmission, Bose, full supple leather. It also has a armour fend clear bra installed since new. The car is on its third owner I would be its fourth. One back wheel has very light curb rash on it and the rear tires were replaced approx 1500 miles ago. Artic silver and black interior. I have negotiated the price to 60k even pending a PPI checks out ok. I a bit nervous of the three previous owners, but the car does have all service records original window sticker and all manuals. I saw the car and it does look flawless even though I am not crazy on the look of the clear bra. Comments appreciated. Thanks..

Call porsche give the vin, and get the history. Get the selling dealer and call the service dept and get their service history. Try to trace it if you can. Find out what you can. But its still under warrantee, so should be fairly safe.

$60k is a very good deal pending a PPI. A dealer would ask between $65k to $70k+.

Sounds like a good deal. Like the others, I'm a little wary about the 3 prior owner history. It takes only one short term owner to abuse the car.
