I bought these tips on ebay. The seller said they would fit on a '99 996. I took my old tips off (with much effort). I held them up and they will fit, but they stick out further them the factory tips. Is this right or am I trying to put the wrong tips on my car. I have read the other threads on tips...but the seller assured me these were for my car. That is the only reason I am posting this. Thanks! Greg

I think you may have the wrong tips. I have a MY2003 and that's the same P/N as mine. I think that there the tips you are looking for are for MY1999 to MY2001. I believe what you have are for MY2002 to MY2004. I am not 100% sure.

mffarrell is correct.....those are NOT for a 99-01 car. Those dual tips are for 02-04 cars unless you change your rear bumper as well.

I guess I will just keep them then. I am planning on adding some aero to my 996 at some time. They might come in handy then. Thanks guys!
