Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Folks, I'm looking at a potential purchase and need your input. A fellow rennlister (DFC) was kind enough to do a pre-PPI check for me and found the following: the clutch pedal is pretty stiff and the engagement is rather high (compared to his MY02). Is this indicative of a worn clutch? Obviously the PPI will tell me for sure, but I was just curious as I'm trying to get somewhat close in negotiating a price pending no surprises from the PPI... Thanks in advance. Paul.

Yes, but it probably still has many miles left on it.

Paul: Have a look at http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...howtopic=18352 You might also want to call Pro Technik, tell them what you are considering, and get their thoughts. They will probably talk with you about it.

POST 5Original post

Wonder if the helper spring was removed from the clutch pedal??

POST 6Original post

This was the exact situation with my pedal and with the clutch replaced it is much smoother and easier on the clutch engagement. PPI will not include the ability to see clutch wear. Thatl requires taking the tranny off and they do not do that.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
