Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

got a cel, gonna change the coil tomorrow. can someone tell me which one cylinder #6 is? thanks.

POST 2Original post

3 6 2 5 1 4 REAR Cylinder #6 also has the ground strap nearby on the head. It's easier to access the coil pack if you remove this, but don't forget to reconnect.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

since i bought this thing used a few months ago i haven't checked to see if the 60k service was done. i changed the oil, air filter and coolant so far. i just bought 6 oem coils, 6 oem plugs, and one belt for $305US. (i think i got a great deal) OT: when i take off the left wheel, will that give me access to the fuel filter? i want to change that as well while i'm at it. thanks.

POST 5Original post

The fuel filter instructions are here. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=7062 I tried and failed to do this on my 99 Tip while on jack stands. I think I need a lift or to remove the cross member or trans support ? to get the filter out.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

oh i see, it's the same as the boxster. i did this job already last year on a 986. it's much easier with a lift but still relatively easy. thanks guys!
