What is the best exhaust set up for an 03 996 x51. I want to keep the stock headers but want to know the best set up for mufflers/cats vrs bypass pipes? Set up is for the track. this will not be a street car. Thanks in advance.

The car came with x51 headers which are good, fabspeed mufflers and 100 cell cats. One of the fabspeed mufflers has gone bad and they will not replace it since I am not the original owner. So now my choices are: 1. replace 1 muffler from fabspeed 2. run muffler bypass to the cats 3. run straight pipes from the headers and get rid of cats and mufflers 4. put a new cat/muffler set up on the car.

for track applications just bypass mufflers and cats. for street use i had tubi mufflers with 100 cell cats and i thought that combination was great. i had the fabspeed prior to the tubi, but the drone was terrible and i removed them within days.
