One of my front headlamp bulbs is fading out on my 996.. 1) How easy is it for me to buy and replace the bulb myself or should I take it into service? I've never done before. 2) If I can do myself, what type of bulb should I buy and should I change them both at the same time (seems logical)? Thanks for your help! Rio

Kirby is absolutely correct. EXTREMELY EASY and it is in the manual.

Just be careful with that lame headlight removal tool. It strips very easy. I suggest getting a better tool for the job.

Anyone replace the fog lights in litronics? I have checked the manual and was thinking of replacing them with piaa type etc. However when I pulled it and checked it unless you use a set of needle nose pliars it looks like a pita.

I need to do the same but want to use the Extreme Whites by PIAA. I don't drive the car at night enough to justify the expense of the litronics. I know that there is no substitute for the real thing but HID bulbs are a lot better that what I have now at a fraction of the cost right? Which PIAAs should I use? I went to their site and they point to an H7 (high beam, low beam says n/a) for the 99-02 998. I am assuming that they mean that their H7 is the correct bulb for my 99' 996?

Maybe I should clarify what I mean by "do the same". I was refering to the head lights not the fog lights.
