My owners manual says not to, but the guy who installed the clearbra says that there is no problem with overheating due to the thin-ness of the product.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 5Original post

did they install the protection over the headlights? My owners manual says not to, but the guy who installed the clearbra says that there is no problem with overheating due to the thin-ness of the product.

POST 6Original post

Looks Great! I installed the protective film over my headlights...no issues.

POST 7Original post

Beuatiful car. Where did you get that kit from? Is that black lip an add on to the kit because I've never seen on sold with those kits?

POST 9Original post

Nice car.... can you really see the 3M film from 2-5 feet away? I'm thinking of having mine done soon. Thanks, -Eli

POST 10Original post

You see it much less than any rock chip that you will get!!!

POST 11Original post

Looks like the factory GT3 Aerokit. The lower front lip is standard with that package.

POST 12Original post

You are correct, it came with mine! Actually it was packaged in the same box with the bumper cover.... -Eli

POST 13Original post

Soon to buy a 996 with aero kit. How much did the aero kit cost you? I have seen them for anywhere between 4500 and 8k

POST 14Original post

Well that is an unfair question to ask being that I work at Pelican Parts and have access to many parts and have a good working relationship with many of my vendors.... I actually paid around $2,500-$3,000, can't really remember. Since then prices from Porsche has really gone up. Back in Aug. I noticed a huge price increase. I'd say a fair price for the package is around 5-6K.... We offer the Aero Kit 1 for around 5 something and the Aero Kit 2 for 6 something..... If you're local and willing to pick-up then I'm sure I can work with you on a package.... http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...tec-detail.htm Let me know if you have any questions.... -Eli

POST 15Original post

Nice! Do you have any clearance issues with the wheels? Are they actual GT3 or the "GT3-look"?
