Does a replacement tank come with a new cap And, Should I be concerned about some crust around the bottom of my tight cap with the part number ending in .01 Thanks

I've had my coolant overflow/reservoir tank replaced twice (under warranty) because of leaks. Each time the dealer replaced the tank they gave me a new cap. The third tank seems to be holding up fine. I think there have been several versions of the tanks and caps. The older tanks tended to crack and leak coolant on the rear bumper and exhaust tips leaving white cruddy stuff.
