Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My remote is dead..dead ckt board. Reading the back threads it seems that my existing blade will fit onto the Carrera 911 head http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...Code=POTE996CM I have a 1 button remote and will order this 2 button remote. Will the dealer be able to program this 2 button remote so that the door lock unlock works on a 1 button car ? I do not have the remote trunk so obviously the trunk button would not work. thanks in advance ! i stole this pic from JoelPirela JoelPirela 6speedonline user

POST 2Original post

Yes it will work. Caveat being of course that the trunk button wont work. The door lock and unlock button will work fine. I have seen posts indicating that depending on where you order from, some of these newer carerra 911 keys comes with the shell only, meaning the internals have to be transferred from you old remote(nothing difficult). Others have received the newer carerra 911 keyhead with the internals where you have the option to take to the dealer to program or transfer your old internals. I believe suncoast sells the shell only.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been buying from Suncoast for a while, great folks. I wish they were closer so I could have my car serviced there Porsche of Orlando sucks. text of an email from Suncoast "Donn, Ok, it appears that the GT keyhead will have the same frequency as your keyhead. So in theory, it should work, I can't make any guarantees. It seems that it would unlock/lock the doors, but you would have to ignore the other button. I've only used these on a 2001 or newer Carrera, so yours would be the first. The Carrera GT keyhead would be $129.95, the standard replacement keyhead would be $114.73. Let me know, thanks again! If there is anything else I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again! Ric Please visit our new Audi and Carrera 993 section. Go to www.E-PartsSales.com . POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
