Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I live in Michigan and go over to Canada regularly where the speeds are posted in kilometers. My 996 reads only MPH, both on the anolog and digital gauge. Does anyone know if there is a way to select/toggle the digital read-out from MPH to kilometers? Thanks. Pat

POST 3Original post

This is covered in the owner's manual. You should really get one if you don't have one (and read it if you do). Just kidding. With the car started, turn the clock set button in the gauge cluster to the left and hold it for about 5 seconds. Do not push the button -- pushing sets the clock. That should do it. (You don't need the onboard computer just to switch the digital speed indicator from MPH to KMH.)

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
