Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That can't possibly be legit. 12k for a car with those miles, and in that condition?
No way. this was a seller listing error or something. 12k + FREE shipping = absurd
my guess: you have to email the seller to be ''pre approved'' at which points he busts out the real price since he figures you are interested enough to have tried to buy it and interested enough to have spent time emailing him.
Will find out the angle shortly- just emailed him. I figure I can spend 30 minutes to find out if it is real.
Will let everyone know what the real deal is.
I noticed after I sent the email that the eBay ID has 450 positive feedback- but ONLY for buys, none for sales. Whoever has the ID has been buying a ton of HO model train stuff- my guess is someone has hijacked the ID for a scam.... no response to my email.
And it is a one day auction.
There are a lot of scams on ebay. This guy was selling a 1962 vette, absolutely pristine for $10K. The car was probably worth at least $50K.
Here is a email reply from the scam artist:

Sounds like another scam. Internet scams are all over nowadays. A friend of mine was inquiring about a C4S priced for 30K, emailed the guy who was supposed to be a doctor out in San Fran and he tells my friend he doesn't have time to let anyone see/drives the car but wants money in his pocket before you buy. Hahaha, what a bunch of crap, who buys a car without seeing it first? Watch out!
Usually the auction is for a car here in US. Then the guy says he has the car in europe and will ship it when he gets at least a deposit. Or when you forward money to some shipping co. here. Then they will come pick it up. But it never goes past the point that you send money. Sometimes they want to forward you a check and you send them the difference from your car cost. But after that, they never contact you again, and never come for the car. Its usually from Nigeria (although they say they are in some exotic place. And emails are usually from yahoo)
Ahhh, a variation on the Nigerian Scam-
For those who have never seen it, this is pretty funny (and, IMHO, potentially dangerous. These are, after all, criminals, albeit in another, far off country.)

So got an email back from the guy- as we suspected. Note daughter's heart surgery as reason for distress sale.......

sounds like BS to me. a distress sale would fall some where is the high 20k. that will get people looking as 996 have yet to break to 30k wall. but 12k, send a deposit andloseit imo, S C A M
I have a $31,000 check in my drawer thats good. Its stolen from a large us corp in Cal. Officially stamp signed by the company. But whoever stole it, just filled in an amount. Mailed it to me, and wanted me to sell him a car. There was a few details about the money was sent from another guy who had purchased his boat and would send the money to me, I would release the car and shipping. And then forward the difference to him in a cashiers chk. ( $4 - $5K ) I didnt remember him telling me that he was going to send a company chk. So I looked up the co. and called them. They never heard of either guy. But why do I have their check? Never heard from him again.
Well, the sheriffs dept and the secret service both connected it to a bank of america check scam case. All based in Nigeria.
Those Nigerians, gotta love'em.
But theres a lot of people that run right down and deposit the checks when the make these crazy deals, get the difference in cashiers chks and mail it right off. Then in about a week or so the bank calls them and says, your deposit was no good. Well what about the $ I sent off?
