Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I was wondering if you could check the distance from the floor to the upper most part of the fender inner openning (crossing the wheel axle).

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Rob, car looks GREAT! I'm debating going with either H&R springs or ROW springs on my '99. I was wondering if you could check the distance from the floor to the upper most part of the fender inner openning (crossing the wheel axle). My current dimmentions are 26 3/8" F and 26" R. Just trying to get a general idea of where the car would end up. I just don't want it to be too low doe to driveways, etc.
Thanks! Lou
Hehe Gery - I took the after pics in the morning before the sun was hitting the right way (I also need to sweep the lawn). The profile pic I had to brighten up a bit just to show the gaps.
Scree at funcars recently did a write up on the RoW M030 that sums it up better then I can (he has a MY02 C2 Cab).
"There are 3 important things that RoW 030 has done to my car:
1. Removed the vague "floatiness" in the front. It doesn't feel like the front is about to wander away on its own course, which has always freaked me out. I understand Porsche's idea to completely eliminate oversteer, but the stock suspension goes way too far.
2. Removed the weird "wiggle" in the back that I'd get right when entering a turn. Before, the car's rear would sort of need to settle-in and lock down before I felt safe getting back on the gas in a turn. It's completely gone after RoW 030.
3. Added throttle-induced oversteer. This is the best one. I come around a turn, right at the limits, and I control the rear with the throttle, rather than lightening up the front. It brings back the traditional 911 handling characteristics, which give you incredible control at, and beyond, the limits.
But it also makes you re-think the way you drive your car fast. RoW 030 changes the car's dynamics significantly . Many of the things I was doing when driving the car before changed with the sport suspension. It's hard to explain, but I felt like I had to re-learn how to drive the car correctly. Once I did, though, the results were fantastic."
I'm still in the relearning stage. Niner thanks, it looks like about 25 3/4" both front and rear. I've got S03s on so this could affect it a bit, also as I've said everyone I've talked to said it takes about 3 months to fully settle. It should lower it 20mm in the front and 10mm in the rear +/- 10mm. I did not install it for lowering purposes (in fact the main reason I held off was for fear that it would lower her too much), I did it to improve handling, i.e. reduce oversteer. With this aspect I'm very happy, she feels like a go-cart now - very precise. It is a bit more rough on bad roads, but nothing I would deem obnoxious

I was in on a group buy, my cost from Gert
Carnewal
was about $1,000.00 U.S. (890 Euros) normally $1,160.00. My dealer quoted me $1,260.00 to install it. I'd heard that it is a 5-6 hour job and I'm not into paying $200.00 an hour so I had an independent shop do the install for $580.00 - I'd also been told to make sure I have it aligned on the million dollar (?) Porsche alignment machine that ( I thought all dealers) were required to buy. So I had it aligned at the dealer which cost another $400.00. So in all I only saved $260.00 by having it installed at an independent shop.
I started a thread at renntech about the alignment settings, Loren posted the Euro specs and I got a print out from my dealer w/my settings. You should get this and be able to compare if you do it. Here's the thread:
