I live and work in Toronto and the roads do suck but I manage and I'm running those springs on stiffer shocks (with 18" wheels though).

I believe the C4S has the turbo suspension, but I don't know how that compares with the ROW set ups...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK Guys - I'm ordering a 2004 C4S Cab. I want to put some HRE rims on her, but I have two fundamental questions: 1. It's a daily driver with rare track use, so I want a little bit of comfort (I'm coming off a 2000 C4 cab). Do I want 19" rims or not - looks cool, but too much of a downside in terms of acceleration or ride quality? 2. If yes on the 19", what stock suspension should I order with the car? I believe the C4S has the turbo suspension, but I don't know how that compares with the ROW set ups... Thanks!

I am going to assume that you're getting your car from Pfaff. If yes, check out the C4S in their showroom that has the Champion 19" wheels and H&R springs with stock C4S shocks. It looks and drives amazingly. 19" wheels are not that much more harsh than 18" wheels on that car. I live and work in Toronto and the roads do suck but I manage and I'm running those springs on stiffer shocks (with 18" wheels though). There is a complete X74 suspension package available for that car but before plunking down that kind of cash, Id' have a look and drive of the one I mentioned (at Pfaff). Do you have a source for the wheels? My very good friend, Andy owns Wheel and Tire Zone in Mississauga. Call him at [phone removed].

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
