Suggestion
On my current vehicle (not a pcar), I have a centri-blower (Vortech V2 SQ trim), and it's quite nice, though they don't hardly any power at low (idle - 3500 RPM when running say 8lbs of boost) due to their design.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Try the search function. You will find a lot of info on the Evo Supercharger and relatively little on the TTP turbo setup. IMHO, the supercharger is the better way to go with the 996. Goodluck and welcome aboard.
when I used to have my 964 C2 92 it happend to race it with a boxter 2001 TTP with 996 3.4 twin turbo engine.....
0-200 klms/h supposed to be around 13.7 sec.....

It was a very bad experience wich I will remember for the rest of my life.....
very strong car, very fast....and not very expensive for what you get...
I do not think that the Evo supecharge is going to be faster the the TTp.....
but do not take as a statement....

As stated in a previous post do a search. Also look at 6speedonline there is a running supercharger post w/tons of pages. Personally I would go with EVO. There are lots of 996s w/ EVO supercharger and they seem to be reliable. I have met a couple of guys who track their EVO supercharged 996s on a regular basis and they seem to be reliable. Also remember after you buy it you will have to get it installed. I bet you can find more mechanics that have installed the EVO vs the Turbo.

If you're after a moderate increase in power, and don't mind having a limit on how much potential power you can produce without having to pay an exorbitant amount of money to have the motor rebuilt then a centrifugal supercharger such as the EVO is right for you. On my current vehicle (not a pcar), I have a centri-blower (Vortech V2 SQ trim), and it's quite nice, though they don't hardly any power at low (idle - 3500 RPM when running say 8lbs of boost) due to their design. Turbo is more effiicient (more power per PSI of boost), more costly, and equally as reliable. For a fun street car centrifugal superchargers are great...as long as you're the kinda person to stay in the revs

im living in indonesia and there is not much porsche here ...this c4s tht i bought is 99% brand new the owner just had it for like 3 month and drive it only 100 km...and i got a good deal, there is some 996 tt for sale but the year most of them is 2002...there is one 996 tt 2003 silver but the interior is wood finish Yuck! not much choice here....
Considering it is 9000 euro off, I would go for the TT
The Evo makes 470 hp / 350 ft/lbs torque *
TT makes 450 hp / 400 ft/lbs torque *
the TT will "feel" stronger from the extra 50 ft/lbs of torque, probably wont even notice the 20 less hp
*these are on the 3.6 liters
