Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Just a word of caution, Vortechs do not like the silicone hoses ran through the impeller, lol.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have the Eaton on their car? I was wondering if people are getting the power that TPC is claiming; 434 hp. I have owned both the Vortech ('69 Camaro) and Eaton ( Ford Lightning) superchargers and it was known that Vortech always made more hp than the roots when comparing the same vehicles and boost. Being that the TPC claims like 15 more hp with same boost over the Vortech, I am skeptical. I would rather have the Eaton because of the instant boost though (which our engines need for torque) and the unmistakable "whine". I believe also that roots last longer than centrifugals. But I am still hung on the extra hp they claim. P.S. Just a word of caution, Vortechs do not like the silicone hoses ran through the impeller, lol. It was only $200 to put a new impeller in it and rebalanced but it sucks to have your car down.

Did you have vortech do that work, or a local shop?
