Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have seen the humps for Boxsters...but they have them for 996? They are pretty expensive for the boxster...are there cheaper ones out there? Also...what do you guys think of them? I dont see alot of them on cabs...so it's either pretty rare, pretty ugly or pretty exspensive...which one is it?

POST 2Original post

It looks like a shell, pretty ugly. One of the best looks in a cab is the rear engine and tonnau cover. It's a pretty big hump as it is. Adding extra cladding makes the car look cumbersome. Hard top has the same issue too. The same company (can't recall name but something like ricari or something) makes the 986 hump also has it for 996. Don't bother, less is more. They run over $2k so if you have money to burn, get some new wheels or exhaust instead.

POST 4Original post

that 996 has a very retro look to it with the wheel and hump. somehow, it doesn't match the GT3 seats very well. it's the first time i've seen a gt3 seat on a cab. i am glad i didn't upgrade. it looks kinda funky...

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah so....how much for those? Is it really 2K...I guess that answers my questions. I aint spending that much.

POST 7Original post

Also, I don't think it fits very well. There is too much of a height difference on the sides and at the rear of the hump. If it fit as shown in the 2nd pic below, it MIGHT be worth it, if you like that look.
