Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

its a cabriolet. i want to remove: driver side a-piller (i think this one is simple - two torx screws by sunvisor?) driver side air vent cover (how do i remove light switch?) trim that goes from interior light switch to driver side a-piller trim under steering wheel? (where your knees touch) basically i want to run the V1 cable under all these items instead of trying to tuck it into them (not as clean of an install as i'd like)

POST 2Original post

Damn that is some serious need for instant gratification! I like it. Have you done a search for V1 hardwire installs? They have been done countless times. There may even be a DIY pinned over on Renntech.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah... got smacked by loren (rightfully so) for been lazy and did a search: vents: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...85&#entry14785 a-pillar: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=4958 the only thing i am not sure how to do is the trim which goes from dome light to the a-pillar. my guess it might just come out when a-pillar cover is removed and dome lights are removed.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

SOS. HELP. i took the car apart in the driveway, but can't figure out how to remove the piece which goes between the dome light and the a-pillar. it looks like the piece where sun visor clips in is stoping me from removing it. do i just pull harder or is there a trick? thanks!

POST 5Original post

Geez man, you can simply TUCK the wire into these areas without removing all the stuff! Just tug on it while holding the other end, and it should slide right into place. I've done this one a few vehicles. You also use a pick tool to wedge it into stubborn spots. No need to dismantle.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah, thats what i neded up doing. i just wanted to make sure that the wire wouldn't come out. its the OCD in me still, i really would love to know how to remove that upper trim piece.
