Managed to dodge the pic police for the last few months. Just finished some mods (mostly int. - kept it simple ... before/after pics attached) - nothing you won't have seen before, but great ideas I picked up from you guys on this site ... I thank you, my dealer thanks you, my wallet does not thank you.
The car is an '02 Targa with about 15,000 miles (24,000 Cdn ... oops kms.), PSM, 18" Carerras, Bose, power/heated seats (it is Canada), computer.
Mods added:
- short shift kit - OEM (what a difference!)
- clear side markers ( big improvement for little cost, esp. on black)
- personalized plates & Porsche plate surround
- c/f shift ****
- c/f hand brake
- 3-piece dash trim set ( a big thank you to Eric at Bumper Plugs for his service over and above on this one - he'll know)
- guage rings
- alum. pedals (group buy)
- Lloyd mats (not the bathroom variety)

Peter - your car and mods look good. I recommend two additional mods you might want to consider: replace the black "Targa" script with an aluinum logo and replace the CD holder with a storage bin/shelf. Each of them are less than $30. I did both of these mods and am very pleased with the results.
You can remove the Traga logo with dental floss and apply the new logo with 3M double sided tape (not the foam type). To remove the CD holder, open all 5 CD trays, greb all of them and pull srtaight out. Then insert the storage tray. It takes all of 8 seconds.

Couple of answers...
Does it get hot under the targa top? Haven't found that to be the case, although normally I have the roof open and windows down if it's sunny/not raining out. If the top was closed though, the (powered) screen and tinted glass (+a/c) would take care of it.
Phil, I had Pfaff do the install on the dash trim - the 996TT site shows how to do the install yourself and a few people have, but I didn't want to chance damaging the dash (the pieces are screwed in from behind the dash) and Pfaff has done it a few times - they did a great job. Labour was 3 hours (@$115). Price for the kit through them though is (get ready) $430! I ordered the kit instead through Eric at Bumperplugs - he sells it (OEM) for $99 U.S. + shipping. Got my guage rings from Eric as well.
Thanks Tim for the great suggestions ... more mods, it will never end? Would love to get some side skirts as well.
The painted bumperettes were on the car when I picked it up - not sure if the car came from the factorty that way or not.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to call me (us) out on this one! Well, I know that Dell has an excuse. He has been busy moving to NC during the last 2 or 3 weeks, so he is "off the hook." Me, I don't have an excuse.

Just to clarify, Pfaff charged 3 hrs. @ $115 (their going rate) - so $345 to install the 3-piece dash trim.
....and thanks to the pic police for not flaming me. Snuck in under the wire, whew, but I now feel legit.
