Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I suppose I could do the whole thing in one weekend, but 2000 miles on the Interstate with the cruise control set, seems like a terrible waste of a Pcar!
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Taking the advice of some fellow Rennlisters, I decided to drive my car from Indianapolis to Philadelphia. With my family in another vehicle, with the dog, we made the trip in two days. Roughly 700 miles. In those 700 miles I averaged 28.4 mpg and the engine temp never moved off center even in high eighties and high humidity. My point is despite some of the horror stories we hear here, these are absolutely amazing cars! Imagine a Ferrari or Lambo doing that trip? I drive my car year round and it never ceases to amaze me. I'd have to say that my '99 996 has been one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned. I guess the ultimate is that there hasn't been a time I haven't looked back at it after I've parked.
Just my two cents worth.
i commute every other day, 60 mile/day, half local/half highway.
avg. speed is 26MPH.
but my MPG is only 16.8 MPG, anything wrong with my car?
it's a 01 cab. tip.
and i drive very slow, due to the fact that i want to keep my drive lic.
you'll always get lower MPG in the city because of constant, stop go/stop go acceleration. lugging the engine probably isn't helping your cause either. Also, reset your guage and do a few hundred kms of your commute and then see what MPG you get.
I'm looking forward to a couple of trips myself: LA to the Bay Area next month, and then I may be taking a job in Chicago. I'm trying to work out how to do an interrupted road trip:
LA to Salt Lake City in a weekend, then drop the car with friends and fly to Chicago for a week.
Fly back to SLC on Friday night, and drive as far as Nebraska along whatever interesting non-freeways I can find.
Leave the car somewhere safe in Nebraska, then fly back the following weekend to finish up.

Made a 600mile round trip through the Adirondaks this weekend, midpoint destination Lake Placid. The second day we were there a guy saw us leaving the car and later in the bar struck up a conversation about it. He asked if I was traveling up one of the mountain roads Friday and I said yes and he told me all he could think about after I had passed him was how great it sounded, I concurred. These cars are soo much fun and the grins, well, they're endless!
