look for rms history in warranty and service records at a dealer. coolant expansion tank leak is common too. any tranny grind? have the car inspected for oil and coolant leaks, body damage etc.

from what I can see here, it looks like a good car at a good price. As always, a PPI is recomended. Also, 99's had the option for LSD and since it looks like it has Traction Control (top left button in dash), there is a good chance it has LSD (desirable option). You can find out what options it has by having the dealer get you the options codes. They are listed on the underside of the front hood on a white sticker. They usually start with C02. Go to this website to find out what the codes translate to. http://www.kindel.com/porsche/options.asp
