Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If I disconnect my battery on my 02 will I need a radio code? If so, where is the radio code found?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK Found it..Thanks. I knew the owners manual is from another car so I thought the radio card was lost. Hope this is the right code card for my car?

POST 4Original post

there is a way to check the code before you disconnect the battery - but I cannot remember how to do it. Can anyone back me up on this one?

POST 5Original post

No. That is not the way it works. You can check the radio serial number before you disconnect the battery. But that is not the code, unless the serial number matches the code card. You need the code for your radio, not a code from some other car/radio.

POST 6Original post

The radio code card will have a radio serial number as well as a code. You can check to see if the serial number matches the unit in your car by: 1. pulling the unit out far enough to read the Porsche tag on the side (but not far enough to pull the electrical connection loose), or 2. Turning Radio on Pressing TP until it beeps Becker will appear in display Use right **** to scroll to serial number display. If the serial number is the same as the one on your code card, it is safe to assume that the security code on the card is the correct one. If not, you need the help of a Porsche dealer, who, in turn, will need the serial number of your radio .... and a reason to trust you.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great! As always, this is the place to be for Porsche's!! Thanks for the help.
