Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I would change the wheels, but I wouldn't call them ugly - they just don't suit that particular car.

I was just at my local dealer picking up my car, and to my surprise they had 3 cars!! One yellow ,the press car, and 2 Black ones, Both are sold!. Ok I heard the car and it sounds great, however my fears of not really liking the car is a reality, IMHO its not a great looking car, it just doesnt have that WOW factor. So in short I may be giving up the one I have on order for the new 997 GT3,dont worry I have a home for the TT , my brother may want it. The point of this thread is this....If you want to see it they should be hitting your local dealers soon as well. If your Local , Pfaff Porsche in Woodbridge has them.
yea, I saw them unloading several yesterday also. The wheels have gotta go. I saw an older Mitsu Eclipse about 5 minutes later and he had wheels that looked almost the exact same. That confirmed my belief on just how ugly the wheels are.
Today, in the mail, I got an invitation from the local Porsche dealer to attend the official launch of the 997 Turbo on Friday, 6/23. I may go down there and take a quick look at them. Could be interesting.
Let's see....Tech Art side intakes, ugly wheels, GT2 wing, ugly exhaust and they can't even paint the rockers body color on the red one? I have loved every turbo since the 70's but right now this is the ugliest turbo I have ever seen. I hope it grows on me?
My theory is that they intentionally make the stock wheels ugly so that you pay the xtra to upgrade them to tequipment ones. The Stock 997 C2 wheels with the thick spokes are some of the fugliest wheels around IMO.
Yeah, if Ford dealers are selling them...well, paging Bob....
Who on earth designed this hodgepodge body? Even the new jaguar has better looking side intakes. I like the 996TT much better, appearance wise. But maybe its looks will grow on me......although I can't afford it even if it does (*_*).
Oooh yeah, the 997 GT3 is one sexy super model! With a more aesthetically pleasing steering wheel and leather interior instead of suede, that'd be the perfect package for me to sell my soul for.
You guys are crazy. That car is damn near the definition of automotive perfection, imo. Simply beautiful. I would change the wheels, but I wouldn't call them ugly - they just don't suit that particular car.
I think what makes the air intakes look so ugly is that they have a frame and can be pulled out. If the were integrated in the body like the vent opening behind the rear wheels ( no idea what they are called in english) it would look much better.
Man those gayman fog lights and ricer gimmick led front signals are fugly.
To bad the gt3 doesn't come in a convertible. Guess the only other option is to put the gt3 front end on the turbo so it won't look gay.
I don't think they could have possible have designed an uglier rear end. What are they thinking with where the exhaust tips come out? Cheap looking air intakes, cheesy front end and the wheels look so rice...
The GT3 is the complete opposite, looks great except for the rear wing that looks a little strange, but can be easily switched to an RS wing. Talk about beauty and the beast...
