Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My dealer is saying know that the squeaquing, stiffness and slippage (after 2000 mls) is because I am using not a original clucth.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Dear All
Did you guys find your spec clucth to stiff to drive on a regular basis? Has anyone gone with Stg 1?
My dealer is saying know that the squeaquing, stiffness and slippage (after 2000 mls) is because I am using not a original clucth. Is he right, or he is just not willing to pull down the motor again for free?

Both the stock and aftermarket clutches should not slip or squeak. Aftermarket may have lighter flywheel, but still shouldn't slip, especially after 2,000 miles.
What do you mean my "stiffness"? Pedal hard to push down? If so, that has nothing to do with the type of clutch you have as the system is hydraulic and there is a booster spring on the pedal making it easy to depress. Stifness would have to be cause by either a hydraulic problem (M/C or slave; or a physical problem such as a bad clutch lever or TO bearing which would generally cause noise.
What about the slippage? How do you know it is slipping? What are the symptoms? Is the slippage ONLY after quick shifts and quick release of pedal when accelerating at WOT?
What year car?
Did you get the TSB I sent you?
What was your reason for going with a stronger clutch?
Pedal stiffness is a function of the pressure plate clamping force and the clutch disc. At a certain point (i.e. Turbo) Porsche adds an additional hydraulic boost to the clutch controls. So if the things you mentioned; hydraulics, pedal operation, corrosion are not at fault then its a possibility the SPEC clutch is the problem.
Thanks for all the answers. Here it goes:
Car is a Carrera 2 996, european, 98. One of the first 996s produced.
-After the installation of the spec stg1, the pedal was harder to push e change gears.
- I did that because I used to track the car, and it seemed like the best choice. I ve done that one time with the new clucth. No stipping here.
- The only dealer in Brazil does not want to do the service for free (paid U$ 2500 to do the job a few months ago). He says that Spec is bull**** and that he is not responsible for that.
He also did not know about this TSB. Is there anyway legal form from Audi AG?
I am considering calling Germany at the Internation Customer Care Service.
