Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. I used #6, oval head, black, self-tapping from Home Depot (in the hardware drawers under painted decorators screws I think) - They look more like the black rubber nobbles on the pedals I think, with their slightly domed black heads.
Leading evidence: 'Use #6, oval head, black, self-tapping' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use #6, oval head, black, self-tapping' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. I used self tappers all around - 3/4" for the two center pedals, 1" for the gas and dead pedals.

I used the sheet metal screws for the accelerator and dead pedals.

I used a very small drill bit to start the holes in the pedals, and went up to a 3.3 mm bit, which gave me the perfect size for self tapping the #6 screws into place.

Suggestion
Careful placement and marking for the holes is required - take your time - use clamps - start with the brake pedal, it's the only metal one and is the most difficult to drill.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I think some of you have purchased these on Ebay. For 105.00 dollars inlcuding shipping they can't be beat. Anyone else buy these, they look like good quality.

I got some and they are a PITA to install. The pre drilled holes in the brake or clutch cover will be nearly at the very edge on one of them. The screws are too short on the accel pedal, and longer ones will have to be sourced which will become apparent when you are halfway thru the install. Locking nuts should come with the kit as I have had the covers loosen and nuts fall off while driving.
Overall the kit is acceptable, I'm glad I didn't pay more. If the logo said Honda rather than Porsche, I would have expected to pay $20-$40 for the kit. If the manufacturer or importer included a dollars worth of correct screws and locking nuts the kit would be 100% better in my opinion. I am in the business of motor vehicle parts and have been for years.
So for the price of a few self tapping screws from Home Depot, and a few minutes with some masking tape and a clamp to mark the position of the covers on the pedals - all of the above issues are resolved.
It's not a snap-on fit - but the seller does state drilling required.
Sure the correct screws should be included - but I read posts on this board that gave me the heads up on fitting, spent the huge sum of $2 on my own black/oval head/#6 screws, and still saved $100 on similar products.
Very happy.
Maybe not for the home/car improvement challenged individual - see a dealer and get your gold card out in that case
Chris.
Chris,
Did you just you self tapping screws for all of the pedals, and did you need longer screws for the dead pedal and the accelerator? If so, what number were they? Thanks. I guess around here unless you spend 500.00 on anything it's garbage.

For the dead pedal I reused the existing mounting hole - just took the old screw out, put in my new longer screw, then drilled out the bottom two and tapped in additional screws.
Self tappers really hold the covers on nicely - no need for thread lock so far (500 miles).
Chris.
The brake is the metal one. I thought about self tapping (sheet metal) screws all around, but opted for self locking nuts for the brake and clutch.
I agree 100% that the kit should have came with better screws. Upon opening the kit and looking at the screws I decided to go and get the nylok nuts and a couple more sheet metal screws before I started the project, so I thought the install was easy and am 100% satisfied with the kit. I also removed the rubber pads from the brake and clutch pedal and was able to use the supplied bolt with the locking nut I purchased. I used the sheet metal screws for the accelerator and dead pedals.
Install took less than an hour including the trip to the hardware store. The pedals in the link I purchased were from the same eBay seller.

I jumped on them. What the hell, 105.00 bucks with shipping. I'll let you guys know how it goes when I get them and do the install. Thanks for all the information. What a great place to trade knowledge. Rennlist rules!
