Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I bought some but when I fit them, the plastic surrounding the crest does not lie flush with the surrounding wheel rim - its about a 16th of an inch raised. is this how its supposed to be? I put two on yesterday and before I go ahead and put on the other two I want to make sure this is how it should be I have OEM turbo look 18" rims

POST 2Original post

Not exactly sure what you mean but for what's it's worth, you cannot get the silver crest center caps anymore. To try and answer your question, I would say yes that is how it is supposed to be since the crest is curved and not flat like the cap. Can you post a pic??? Are you talking about the Boothe Design centers? I have them but they are NOT plastic.

POST 3Original post

P-Car, Try tapping it in with a rubber mallet. I encountered that same issue, and was about to start sanding my caps to help them fit...when I decided to use try using more force. Sure enough, it snapped right in.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the metal hood crest is in the middleof the plastic surround of my center cap, the plastic surround is the part that is not fluish with the rim I will go and take a pic
