Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Every once in a while, after I start my car, no sound comes from the radio. The radio turns on and you can adjust the volume, but no sound!!! Let it sit overnight, then it works again. Any ideas??? I have verified that I did NOT hit the TP button. Thx in advance! Chirag

POST 2Original post

Model year and radio model? Sound system? BOSE? Harmon? with or with PCM?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry! 2003 996 with Bose and without PCM.

POST 4Original post

My 2003 C2 Cab with Bose sound system has similar problems from time to time. It's very frustrating to turn on the radio and get no sound but the darn thing is on. I've found that mine gets into "CD" mode without any indication eventhough I almost never play CDs. Hitting the CD button and then the FM button seems to fix it.

POST 5Original post

Your dealer should be able to fix this. In some cases the BOSE amp needs to be replaced.
