Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

i filled my coolant with holy water and so far, no RMS leaks
Leading evidence: 'Fill coolant' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I did do a "coolant" search on the board and found some information regarding this, someone recommended not to use distilled water, as it is chemically unstable?

I believe this has been discussed before, but the consensus is that no coolant manufacturer makes a lifetime product, thus you should replace the coolant at some point.

However, what I do is drain 2 gallons (of the 6) each time I change the oil.

Do you replace the seal in the drain plug when you drain it?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Every 2 - 3 years is good. However, what I do is drain 2 gallons (of the 6) each time I change the oil. This simply requires removing 1 plug and draining the 2 gallons into a bucket and then pouring in 2 gallons of fresh mixture. Takes no time at all and eliminates the need to ever completely drain the system which is a pain in the ***. It less than 20 bucks to an oil change. The reason for doing so is to remove contaminants in the cooling system.
Thank you for the input.
Some more questions:
(1). What's the best place to buy this special Porsche coolant?
(2). Do you replace the seal in the drain plug when you drain it?
(3). When you add in the new coolant do you just pour it in from the reservoir?
(4). When you mix it with 50/50 water do you use purified or distilled water?
TIA
always use distilled water and pour the coolant into the radiator (when cool). the drain plug can be reused. you may find better price on coolant online but it'll be expansive to ship it not to mention it's probly a hazardous material which may not be shippable.
Thanks for the reply. I did do a "coolant" search on the board and found some information regarding this, someone recommended not to use distilled water, as it is chemically unstable? That's the craziest thing I have ever heard of it... I guess to play it safe I will just use RO filtered water instead.
You mention pour the coolant into the radiator? The last I checked I didn't see any raditor opening up front byt he trunk area... are you referring to the reservoir in the engine bay? Sorry a little confused here.
Sorry about all these lame questions, my first water pumper... Don't have to deal with coolants on the air heads.
You can drain all the coolant by removing the 6mm plug and the rubber hose right next to it. thats the easy part. Refilling can be quite time consuming. You either use a pressurized coolant installer or you need to jack the rear of the car,
and slowly add new coolant to let the air bleed out which comes from the front radiators. could take a few hours before all the air comes out.
BTW a lot of people are using a Dexacool equivant instead of Porsche stull at
$8+ per litre.....ugh
good luck
