Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

i know there's an orange Turbo running around Toronto.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I was killing time last night so I decided to gather some limited data on color distribution of the 911. Below are the results from the Porsche Pre-Owned search. This covers years 1999 - 2006 and all deviations of the model (Carrera, Carrera S, Targa, Turbo, Coupe & Cab, GT3, etc). Not intended to draw any conclusions, just some fun facts. BTW, Black, Silver/Grey colors comprise 72.9% of the cars in this sample.
Dell - That only took about 10 minutes total. One "Search" then sort by color, then count the quantity by color (site defaults to 10 cars per page). Really quite easy. Oh, no.... wait..... it was really HARD.... took hours and hours slaving over a hot keyboard!
Yeah, then when I'm done with that, I can break down how many of each type had RMS, and/or the "engine self destruct" option installed.
i know there's an orange Turbo running around Toronto. Definitly stands out, if i was buying new and to keep, a custom color would be the first thing on the menu.
Not trying to hijack...but, does anyone have pics of a early silver 996 w/Tan interior?
I've always liked that combo but have been looking for a while and yet to come across a 911 optioned that way.

The colors are listed on the Porsche site by "general color groups." Any black color, metalic or non-metalic, would be included on the general "black" category. The silver/grey group would include GT Silver, Arctic, Polar, Seal, Atlas, and any other silver or gray color that I have not mentioned. You would have to "open" the file of each individual car listing to know exactly which color was ona particular car.
Sweet - I've got a silver/gray car. That means I can just tell the officer it must have been A DIFFERENT silver/gray 996 he was clocking at that speed.
When I was in Germany I asked the factory tour personnel and also the world-wide pca club manager the split on colors and independently they said 80 % of 911's were black/silver or grey......the tour guide also said this was consistent over the past 5 years........
This certainly fits with what I see running around the San Francisco area. There are a LOT of Porsches around, and I've only ever seen 2 others in green like mine (I think its called tropical rainforest metallic green or something like that). One Turbo, one Boxster, and my 996 C2. Makes it much easier to spot in the Village Pub parking lot than if I had one of the dozen or so silver/grey 911s commonly found there.
