Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I posted some pics of my car on here shortly after I got it. I got responses about all the mods I needed to do. It has begun. The forst ones are done. Clear side markers, aluminum dials. Going to get some aluminum pedals, ssk, and if I Can find a way to fo it without destroying my car going to lower it soon. I say destroy it because I live in the pothole capital of the world - Houston. So with that I hate you all. The car was fine, but you had to go and tell me how cool all this other **** would be, and I had to agree.

POST 2Original post

You are most certainly welcome! Now, where the hell are the pics of the mods you have completed?

POST 3Original post

The mod bug has got you.... try to escape while you still can because there is no turning back!!! And btw, you forgot about rims, aero kit, seats, stereo, exhaust, intake, ecu flash and carbon fiber everything Keep us updated

POST 4Original post

^ right on. i highly recommend the carbon fiber everything, exhaust and aerokit. blk on blk, PM me regarding an SSK/Shifter Link package and suspension.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I may change the exhaust. It really is too tame. I won't be doing rims. I love the ones I have. I may consider an aero kit, but am not at all a fan of those fixed wings that look like someone stole a rear stabilizer bar off a retired MD80. INtake is a possibility.

POST 6Original post

Now you need to join the Lone Star Region PCA ( http://www.lsrpca.com/ ) and attend one of their excellent D.E. events. You'll be amazed to learn what your car can do!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'd be interested in what you can do with the ssk. Suspension is probably going to have to wait, or not be done. Here is a really crappy pic I took with my phones.

POST 8Original post

Know what else would be cool? Converting it to GT3 spec bahaha

POST 9Original post

OK blk....the next mod is to become a Rennlist member. It will be your least expensive mod..... After that watch your wallet...

POST 10Original post

HA! Welcome....they (rennlist members) did the same to me......well actually not when I posted my first images...and that was only because I already had clear side markers...but reading the mods..I HAD TO DO IT TOOOOOO....and lovin' it. Goodluck with the rest of the mods..and I agree on the exhaust..I am up for a new sportier sounding set too.

POST 11Original post

Lone Star Region PCA is great. I've particpated in the DE events of 3 PCA, 3 BMW, 1 Alfa Romeo chapters in addition to 5 other organizations that weren't affiliated with any specific car manufacturer. Of the events I've attended, Lone Star Region PCA and the LA chapter of BMW CCA rank tops in terms of the quality of classroom instruction (IMHO). They do a great job of explaining things. Just my $0.02

POST 12Original post

I've been trying to avoid doing too many upgrades. Knowing my personality, when I'm done upgrading, I usually get rid of it!! I love my car, but like my Harley, the upgrades are endless. I also had a CBR once and it looked great. I dumped in a lot of time and $$ and then sold the damn thing. ??????

POST 13Original post

Too funny. Rennlisters did the same to me. You just can't read about these mods and not want to do them. Upgrades are the spice of life. A little change makes your car feel new, and better, all over again. And frankly, even though modding is a disease, it almost a requirement. Porsche cheats us on potential in order to meet all the safety and emissions regulations. As for lowering your car? Do it. It's my Spring mod (Row M030). Well, that or new headers. Or maybe the intake (Evo). But, always do them one at a time; it keeps you busy and happy. Little changes, big smiles.

POST 14Original post

If it wasn't for the &*@%$#!@# rennlist board my car would still be stock and the money spent on options I could have put my future chidren through school. Screw em, they can get loans I will warn you about one thing, NEVER sit down and total all the money you have spent on options/mods. You will realize you are truly addicted. Hello, my name is Dell, and I am a mod addict.........

POST 16Original post

I was crackin up when I read your post! We must have been posting at the same time. YOU READ MY MIND!!! Quite the talent Edward

POST 17Original post

I tell you, it's tough looking at this stuff. I have a bad case of the "I wants." Then I see that that SSK might be a warranty problem, a DE crash isn't covered by insurance, and that its kinda hard to justify $1K for exhaust note (hey don't forget about the 7hp increase!) when there is tuition to pay. Now, I have a bad case of sobering reality. But I still get to drive a 911. It's all good after all.

POST 19Original post

That subject kept me awake till 4am lastnight. What's wrong with me??? I have like 25k worth of mods left

POST 20Original post

I warned you, but you did'nt listen . well it serves you right improving on a already great car....I do not feel sorry for you.

POST 21Original post

NYC gets my vote as the POTHOLE Captial and you see a bunch of us fellow Pcar owners rimmed up on rubber bands risking it all for the sake of vanity!!!hahahh! Its like crack, u get hooked from those little cheap fixes like clear sides, alum pedals...then you'll want the big stuff!!!

POST 22Original post

Welcome. After making 60 posts you should join and become a Rennlist Member .

POST 23Original post

Seriously, Rennlist membership is de riguer. I can't even think about how much money it has saved me just from learning about things from my fellow Rennlisters before learning about them from the service department. Frankly, I never even thought to negotiate on parts and labor before reading it here. I mean, what was I, an idiot?! Pay up and join! It serves the greater cause. Mod the World!!!!!

POST 24Original post

^ HAHA! RIGHT ON! Big It up for John D. and rennlist.

POST 25Original post

Nycebo - Should I assume that was a rhetorical question?

POST 26Original post

Rennlist is a two way street. Yes it saves you money by providing great DIY infromation. But and this is a huge but.......it also shows you how many mods are out there that you never would have known about if it was not for Rennlist.....and that gets expensive......

POST 27Original post

Just got the new Fabspeeds on yesterday, been buzzing around town with a huge grin on my face ever since. Bought them off fabspeed.com for $1000, and my local shop charged me $170 to put them on for me - sweet deal. Cars are an addiction, just like anything else, I suppose. Rennlist is certainly part of that...

POST 28Original post

Oh yeah, big time. But it's amazing how quick one sees the light....

POST 29Original post
