Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Any major differences between the 01 Turbo & newer?

POST 2Original post

It's been discussed numerous times in the 996Turbo forum.....you may want to do a search over there. In summary: Very early 01's had solid spoke wheels and front bumperettes (warts), later 01's did not. 02 was the introduction of Bose audio option and the glove box, along with a change in the plastic buttons on the dash (shiny plastic vs matte plastic) There were no chassis changes, apart from the availability of the X50 (Powerkit) option. Later on PCCB's were available as well. They have been very reliable cars, and since they are built on the M64/GT1 derived block, there are no RMS (rear main seal) issues. Again, lots of good info in the 996TT forum.
