Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Many of you have seen the shots of my new rims. The rims did not have a centercap I liked. The center was also much smaller than the stock Porsche center caps. I had an extra set of caps so I started playing. And as some of you know I love a challenge. The current center caps were attached by 3 screws. So I measured and drilled holes in my PCar caps. I had to remove the rear tabs and used my dremel to remove the ridge around the back edge. I like the results. The finish is a bit off but the high polish ring around it sets it off just nice. For those of you that are getting the same rims feel free to contact me if you want to do this mod. PARDON THE QUALITY (it is dark outside AND snowing so the garage is the best I could do)

POST 2Original post

Wow looks really good...at some point I might have to buy a few from you

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

HAHAHAHA. Get an extra set (our use your current ones). I can do them for you for fine wine.....yeah thats a good solution.

POST 5Original post

Guys, just make sure Tim does the work on your caps BEFORE you give him the wine! d

POST 7Original post

Looks great Tim! Now I will have to get the rims!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

We will have to start our own wheel club

POST 9Original post

Not a big fan of aftermarket wheels on the P-Car but those new wheels are so schweeeeeet! Great job on the center caps Tim.

POST 10Original post

Good Job...You feel proud of the quick witted mod

POST 11Original post

Tim, in that first shot your rotors look cracked, might want to check that out. Looks great though.

POST 12Original post

Yea good call Chris, YOU should 100% check that.

POST 13Original post

The rims look great - is this your first time on such big rims and low profile tires? How is the ride now?

POST 14Original post

Everything looks great Tim and thanks for sharing the link. I checked out some of the wheels at DTM Autowerks and I love the Luff M1's. A set of those in gold (like the old BBS mesh wheels) might look really good on the black C2. What do think?

POST 15Original post

Tim, I thought the wheels looked good on the first post. With those caps they look great!!

POST 16Original post

Tim, I'm going to take you up on the wine!! =) Don't be surprised to see wine and 4 center caps in a box one day! Hehe.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did not notice that. I will double check them today.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have had big rims on my cars before. And so far these feel fine. No bump steer and I have all my fillings still Thanks again guys. Today the weather has cleared so I will get the car out for some pictures.
