Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

and best place to do install? (i'm in so cal) thanx for any suggestions! fwiw, Andial tells me this cannot be done on a 996-based C4S (but it can be done for the 996 turbo). doesn't sound right to me...after all isn't the C4S built for the Euro market with the lower stance (down 20mm front, 10mm rear)? i'm not interested in PSS9 or anything with user adjustability for track use, etc. not looking for a more teeth-rattling ride than i have bone stock. just seeking the Euro ride height - as intended by the porsche engineers

POST 2Original post

www.carnewal.com a rennlist sponsor can help you or email [email removed]

POST 3Original post

Suncoast and braman porsche sell the x73, but what you want is the euro springs and shocks( RoW). I think gert has that setup, ask about an upcoming sale, as the euro exchange rate ain't great.

POST 4Original post

For install, West End Alignment in Gardena has been highly recommended by numerous rennlisters; knows Porsches, nice guy, and very reasonable prices too. I think the guy's name is Darrin (spoke to him a few times but sold my 996 before installing X74).

POST 5Original post

Gert at Carnewal would be my first choice except prices might be higher because of the Euro. I've had good luck with Suncoast, but had a very bad experience with Braman and would stay away from them.

POST 6Original post

Ironically you can get the X73 parts from PCNA...that's from where Suncoast will source . I got mine for my '02 C4S from Gert -inclusive motor mounts - installed by local dealer. Suffice that it is a compelling upgrade...regret not doing it sooner. Ensure Gert knows you are getting the kit for a C4S...the spring rates are different to those of the Turbo(the C4S carries a little less pork )

POST 7Original post

Braman gave me a good deal and treated me fairly.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I will pursue further as soon as I get a chance
