There isnt much room for this to protrude out, or else it will interfere with the other crossover tubes placement, so I trimmed it down in height and used a worm gear clamp to ensure it doesnt come off.

I thought about replacing my coolant reservoir but it looks really good, like brand new with no discoloration or visible aging.

Now Im looking for some advice on what else I should proactively replace while Im doing this.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Not sure if a thread like this exists but Ive been tracking down an issue with my car and finally found a vacuum leak at the resonator valve on the rear intake crossover tube.
Once I started taking things apart, I kind of just kept going to get a good look at everything under the intake manifolds. Now Im looking for some advice on what else I should proactively replace while Im doing this.
Does the resonance flap actuator ever actually fail? Seems like the leak is common, should I replace this whole tube while Im in there and then apply the LN fix for the leak for future prevention?
Ive decided to install a UAOS and Ill likely take the drivers side manifold off when I do it. I noticed this corrugated tube that runs across the engine bay and looks like it connects back on the AOS. Looks like its leaking or has oil leaking onto it:
Next thing I am think about is replacing this plastic coolant fitting with a metal one.
And also thinking about replacing this coolant fitting on the alternator, since Ive read they will all eventually crack and fail. Is that true or is it a small number of failures? Mine looks good now but seems some people thinking the material/design will eventually fail.
I thought about replacing my coolant reservoir but it looks really good, like brand new with no discoloration or visible aging.
What about all the small black plastic vacuum lines? Do they eventually get brittle and break? Is there a better material to replace them with?
I think the plastic fitting in your fourth pic, next to the pulley, will be obsolete once you get the UAOS in. It replaces some other lines too maybe best to install it and see what else comes up.
I am interested in your conclusions with the crossover tube though.
Yeah thats a good idea. I spoke with Skip today and ordered the UAOS with the track drain tube.
As for the resonance flap, this is my temp solution. There isnt much room for this to protrude out, or else it will interfere with the other crossover tubes placement, so I trimmed it down in height and used a worm gear clamp to ensure it doesnt come off. It fits very snug though without the clamp and passed the leak test after install.
The clocking of the tube isnt set in this picture, so dont use it as reference (the tube needs to rotate so the resonance actuator cap is higher towards the top of the engine bay).
I reinstalled everything today, as I am working through this issue with the engine dieing, but I will be back in here shortly when the UAOS shows up, so Ill determine my final solution then. Want to get this problem fixed before I open another can of worms with the AOS haha.
Yes the UAOS System will eliminate the plastic coolant connector next to the alternator that has caused so many leaks and coolant failures.....In fact it will eliminate the entire coolant heater circuit to the AOS...
It will come with a 10mm and 8mm silicone rubber caps and clamps that will go directly on the engine below the alternator and on the "T" of the hose from the reservior effecitely eliminating that entire problematic circuit that has caused so many coolant leaks and failures...
That coolant heater circuit to the AOS is no longer needed with the UAOS System because it moves the high velocity/low pressure area of the flow regulator to near the throttle body which is a much warmer place and doesn't need a heated coolant circuit to keep from forming Ice in the high-speed low pressure area of the flow regulator..... Near the throttle body there is much more heat from the engine and exhaust to keep from forming Ice in the flow regulator.....
