Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 2002 996.2 C2 Cabriolet has OEM seats with manual front-rear and height adjustments, power recline. I have the opportunity to buy full power seats. Can I swap these plug-n-play? Or do the full power seats need different wiring connectors?

POST 2Original post

Yes sir. I did this a short time ago. It's not quite plug-n-play. If there is a memory module on the drivers side seat, you will need to make some jumpers within that module to make it work. Also, check under the seat to see that the wires to the receptacle and off to the seat belt are intact. Mine were not. Here is the thread that helped me through the wiring additions. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ioned-car.html One thing I did not expect is that the lowest seat height is not the same. Its a couple inches higher. Good luck!
