Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just picked up a Porsche Certified Lapis Blus 2002 C4S. I traded in my 2001 BMW M5. Wow, what a difference! The M5 is an amazing luxury sport sedan, but the visceral attitude of the C4S provides a rush I never experienced in the M5. One concern: when I accelerate hard, I hear a "clack" sound from the gearbox when I shift from 1st to 2nd gear, and again when I shift from 2nd to 3rd. I don't hear this during normal driving/shifting. Is this normal?

POST 5Original post

Yes. Wait, I mean, no. Welcome to the board. Get that noise checked out and post some pics of your car when you get a chance -- it is a rule here: new members must post pics.

POST 6Original post

first post pics then ask questions!!!! (jocking) welcome!!!!!

POST 7Original post

The answer is always NO. Should have gotten a Capital One.

POST 9Original post

Ahhhh....I'm thinking the answer is NO! The sounds you should be hearing in 1st and 2nd is the air being pushed out of your lungs as you are squeezed back in the seat but that one doesn't sound good to me. Just a thought here. When I got my car I found that there was a slight clonk! on left turns. Turned out to be the EZ-Pass that I had stored in the arm rest. Hope it turns out to be something trivial. Barry
