Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Help guys! my gas pedal gets stuck when I give it gas(imagine my RPM's). When it happens I have to go to the back and manually pull it back down . I know it's not the spring that pulls it back into place. It may be the actual cable that has become frayed or something in the black box that is underneath the gas pedal..has anyone removed that black box. It's held by one screw. I really appreciate any comments or suggestions.

POST 2Original post

The throttlebody lever has a spring on it. Remove the cable from the lever and open the throttle using the lever with your hand. It should be hard to open and snap closed when you release it. If it does, the problem is with your cable or pedal. If it does not snap closed, the spring may be broken or not installed correctly.
