If 295 tires on 11" rims would fit, it would probably change the handling for the worse.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Now that I settled on a model thanks to Kirby's pictures, I'm woudering which size to get. Currently the back has as standard a 18" * 10 " which translate into 285 wide rear tires. Looking at the owners manual under tire/wheel size I noticed that for 18's it refers to either 10" or 11". For the latter you can size 295. What's the scoop...for a C2 (2004) can you really slap on 11" rims with 295 ? Would the car handle noticeably better. Thanks in advice for all the usefull feeback. Marc

POST 2Original post

A C4S can handle 11" rims, not sure about a std C2.

POST 3Original post

If 295 tires on 11" rims would fit, it would probably change the handling for the worse. It would create more understeer.

POST 4Original post

I don't think the narrow body can handle the 11" rears, but you can still put the 295 on a 10 " rim , allot of members here have done it with no issues, if the car is lowered you can roll the rear fender well...... if you need to, My car is lowered 10"rim and a 295 fit with no issues( tested with my friends rim and rubber)

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
