Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They are "used", but rarely, taken off other track-type cars.
Leading evidence: 'Use "' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace cats pretty soon' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

It has to eliminate the SAI, and is not a "Closed System " so cannot be used on the Roads..

ALSO :: of course the high mileage/Extreme Track Duty Auto Drain is still used with this System

In the case of CAT "Life Expectancy" @ 120k miles, a car with 112k should be looking at replacing the CATs pretty soon?

Suggestion
Yes it is open to the Atmosphere as a safety measure but will use more oil due to less ring seal and will need more frequent oil changes due to no vacuum to the Crankcase to help boil off water vapors so the oil will be more contaminated and need more frequent oil changes,,,..

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looks like a larger overflow tank for when the smaller UAOS container gets filled up? But at that point, why not run the drain-back tube so the extra oil goes back into the sump.
Yes it is a "Race Only" UAOS System....NOT EMMISSION LEGAL !!! ....
It has to eliminate the SAI, and is not a "Closed System " so cannot be used on the Roads..

I see that it is not hooked up to the intake so the crankcase is not under vacuum any longer? Doesnt this increase windage losses and reduce ring seal?
Yes it is open to the Atmosphere as a safety measure but will use more oil due to less ring seal and will need more frequent oil changes due to no vacuum to the Crankcase to help boil off water vapors so the oil will be more contaminated and need more frequent oil changes,,,.. So is not a good set-up for Street or Dual Purpose cars...
Deleting SAI won't have any effect on the " engine " but will make the Catalytic Convertors slower to heat up and reduce the Life Expectancy from ~120K miles to ~80K miles ...
Thanks for the answer Skip. New engine coming to me with the "original" exhaust parts, including CATS. No changes there.
In the case of CAT "Life Expectancy" @ 120k miles, a car with 112k should be looking at replacing the CATs pretty soon? Bummer. Would installing 200 cell CATS in the next few 1000s miles, be OK? They are "used", but rarely, taken off other track-type cars. Comments?
YMMV
The Cat " Life Expectancy" is an average, some will last a lot longer and some will fail sooner....The DME monitors Cat efficiency via the Post Cat 02 Sensors with " Self Tests", so its ok to wait for a code P0420-P0430 efficiency code before replacing them..
Of course there is nothing wrong with replacing them earlier, or with higher flowing 200 cell Cats, but some 200 Cell Cats have trouble passing the Efficiency Self-Tests...
