Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The connector is a typical " EV-1 Mintimer" connector available at E-bay or a multitude of other vendors because it is the same used on early fuel injectors and other two pin sensors..

Suggestion
The spring is probably not available separately except maybe from TE Connectivity/ or AMP, so just buy the full connector and rob the spring or replace the full connector..
Leading evidence: 'Use on early fuel injectors and other two pin sensors' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace full connector' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Today I removed the idle air control valve on my 1999 C2 to clean it. When I removed the electrical connector the little metal spring that locks the connector flew off and into the depths of the engine. Anyone know what this spring clamp is called or the part number.
The picture you posted is not of the 99-model idle speed controller, but rather the change-over valve for the intake resonance flap...

Clarification, The photo is indeed not the IACV connector, I just snapped that photo because it similar to what I need and in a better place to photograph. However you have answered my question, Thank You. So I need the right size and shape EV-1 connector with the same size and shape spring. Unfortunately, they come in different sizes and slightly different shapes.
I knew as soon as that sucker flew off it was going to be a pain to replace. Upon searching there are so many sizes, shapes and even wire gauges. OH BOY, the search begins. Fortunately, the connector does snug quite secure without the "spring lock clip" (that's what I'm calling it) but is vulnerable to vibrate loose eventually.
Thanks, but it is not the actual connector I need, it's the locking spring that clamps over the connector that I need. In the photos you sent it is the black clip around the connector itself. The problem is, I have to find the exact type and style of spring lock for the actual connector to my IACV (idle air control valve.) One that looks like the one in the photo in my hand, that one is from a different connector in my car that I pulled off to show it. Even though it is the same shape, it is however I bit smaller overall than the one that I need for the IACV. It's always the small things that are a PITA.
The RockAuto plug appears to come with the spring.
you could go to a local pick and pull yard and find a few too, just take the whole connectors off. I wouldnt bother trying to find the spring alone. These are common on fuel injectors and ignition coils.
For future reference, there is never any reason to remove the spring, you can remove the connector after pushing down on the back of the spring. These are now one of my preferred of the oe connectors. Anything that has a part to be removed is a frustration, as you just found out!
