I zipped the video Mpeg file using WinZip and uploaded it to the site.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just loaded to my computer an 11Mb Mpeg video comming back from work at 294Km/h (180mph) in the highway (one hand on the steering an the other holding the camera )
Its a follow-up to an earlier thread http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=000979
Anyway, is there a way to upload it to the forum? I dont have a web page.

Wow!!! I couldn't get the d/l link to work. I thought top speed on these babies was 175 mph?
Carlos nice car!!! The interior looks very similar to mine except your wood looks darker. Is that the dark burr maple?
Flying Finn :
Looks like its not posible to download it the computer (9.6MB), only view it with real player which gets paused due to traffic conjestion.
Any suggestions anyone?
J*O:
Nice eyesight! yes its dark maple wood.
Top speed is 175mph but its slightly downhill
though it wont go any faster than 180mph...unless I remove the mirrors
Ok, looks like this works.
I zipped the video Mpeg file using WinZip and uploaded it to the site. This way you can download it to your computer just by clicking on the video, then just unzip it and play it.

That works so much better. What a run!! The perfect road to do it in as well. I can't believe you did that with one hand on the wheel!! Now I know why you are the expert for European radar detectors and scanners.
That is just how stable it is, but doing it with one hand is not my merit, its Dr. Ferry Porsches
Best part is that radar guns are certified (at least in Europe) only for speeds under 250Km/h, so they could not clock me if they wanted too
Great video tks!
next time try to find something to instal your camera
Great to see those RPM just stable at7000 RPM !

Just to let you know. In Europe when one is travelling very fast in the left passing lane, you put the left blinker on to warn others ahead. So if you see that in your rear view mirror you do not move over to the left passing lane. This is done in Germany as well on the Autobahn. If I am not mistaken, it is illegal in Germany to move into the left passing lane and block a faster moving vehicle with the flasher on. You will get a ticket. I live in California but I have driven in Europe for many years

Here, if you do that, they don't move away, they'll give you a finger and keep staying on left lane, moving slow!
Yes, thats a rule we have in Europe but SUNDAY drivers dont care about other drivers, and go right ahead and block you. The actual footage goes on for a few minutes at high speeds and in that time I had to break a few times (they think twice if the new the speed I was carrying and with only one hand on the wheel). I didn't post the entire video because the file would get too large (only 10MB allowed on the web site).
The germans are the best and most considerate street drivers Ive known. They actually respect that rule.
Flying Finn: 265km/h on a bike is certainly very very fast considering the risk and I wolud definately call that exiting. I have yet to test the top speed of my bike (supposedly 285Km/h)...yet
(and I wont be filming that! )
Hit 313 km/h (194.5 mph) recently with a passenger and some luggage on board...
Greetings,

Rob: WOW 334Km/h! Thats got to be a tunned 996 like a 996 RUF R Turbo (Top speed: 348Km/h). The GT2 only reaches 320km/h.
Id figure I would need a 90% decline on the road and 9.6 seconds to reach that with my standard C4
BTW, I noticed the cruise control light is on...
hope that not his regular comute cruising speed
Thanks for the explanation regarding the blinker, guys. That is something we should adopt in North America. If anything, it'll make left-lane hoggers more apprehensive and less likely to sit there.
Nice video. I was impressed with two things:
(1) How smoothly the car seemed to run. No steering wheel -- or other -- vibrations that would indicate the car is unstable at those speeds, and
(2) the continued smooth increase in power. Unclear how far the pedal was depressed to the metal, but in looking at the speedometer, the "kmh"'s kept climbing quite smoothly.
In a nutshell: NICE!!
Regards.
I agree with you Vik, when I first bought the car I was surprised how smooth it is at high speeds. Maybe the aerokit helps a bit too, but at those speeds my imput to the steering is just testimonial, the only thing I had to watch out a bit was for the bumpy steel joints of the road in the briges which are very frequent in that road. They shake the rear end a bit and had to softly maintain the steering (the harder RoW M030 suspension probably accentuates it a bit too). You can really hear as the car hits them in the rest of the video.
As for the gas pedal, its was pushed to the floor all the way all the time from a 230km/h curve in 5 gear that leads to the straight in order to achieve the 294Km/h with just a C4.
Just in case anyone is interested I uploaded to the web site the full 4 minute video at lower resolution in two zip files (10MB each) to make it fit:
