Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'lack of run-off' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'lack of run-off' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check right front tire' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Just put a little bit of NuFinish on a piece of clean cloth and lightly rub the tire rubber off.

The elevation changes are more extreme than what TV can show.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After reading about so many concerns regarding quality control, dealer problems and what not, I thought I'd share some positive vibes. I'm not belittling any of the problems. I thought I'd just give some positive input.
I just got back from Mid-Ohio. It has the well deserved reputation of being one of the most technical of road courses. There are crests on apices, dips on entry, camber changes galore in corners. I think the only flat parts are the straights! It's a 2.4 mile course and for those interested, heres the web site: Mid-Ohio
For a novice, first time in Mid-Ohio, I broke the 2 minute lap mark! I was made to understand that that was an achievement. My best time was 1:54, and was consistently around or under 2. Much as I'd like to claim credit, THAT has GOT to be the car.
Here's a few pics.
Top of the keyhole, turning in. Rear wheel lift!!
Power exit. Check the right front tire.
Forget bug splat. Here's a rubber splat!
I was hot on the tail of a car on track tires. With AWD and sport suspension, I was able to stay with him on the corners on my street tires. Passed him once we got to the straights. He melted his tires and I got it on the front end.
BTW, a note on tire pressures (already I hear the groans
)
On 8x18 rims and 225x40, and 11x18 and 295x30, I was running 32/40 cold. The scrub marks in font were perfect, but the scrub marks in the back extended to the top of the Pirelli logo! Will try 42 next time. I think the set up needs a bit more oversteer anyway.
Great pics Palting!!! Looks like you had a great time. I can't wait until I can autocross my car. Only another 1400 miles of break-in time.
My A/C wokred great this weekend. Put 180 miles on the car in near 100 degree weather and it was comfy inside. I am impressed with the dealer. They did a great job.
Palting, great car!! I can image my car on the track!! With the color blue. I have 1k miles to go for my break-in
Try use NuFinish to remove the track tire rubber.
Just put a little bit of NuFinish on a piece of clean cloth and lightly rub the tire rubber off.
I've done many times and works great for both my ex-track car (79 911SC) and current 2000 996.
Palting, nice front bumper plugs. A tad illegal here in Texas, but I hate my front tag so much!
Oh....second pic, you said check the right front tire....maybe it's my old eyes, but what should I be seeing???

Palting,
Try a larger front tire to get rid of some of the push. Also lower your rear pressure. You are way high, you want to be in the low 40's HOT. Higher pressure will reduce understeer because it makes your rear tires grip much less.
Jim and Mav, just keep taking the long way home, and the break-in will be done in no time! Then, we'll see each other on the track.
Whoa, Mike. Not looking for competition. Not yet, anyway
. This will only be my third track event. Thanks for saying I could give you a challenge, though.
Nu-Finish is on the grocery list. The front plates are also required here, but so far, fingers crossed, no citations.
Here's a pic at two of the most dangerous turns in Mid-Ohio.
Peak of "Madness"
It's a tight 90 degree turn. The first half is a steep uphill that then crests at the curve mid point, then a steep fall. The elevation changes are more extreme than what TV can show. Your car had better be square when you hit that crest, or it's backwards into the barriers you go. You can see how the whole car is unloaded and "floating" in the above pic. It gives you that "pit of the stomach in the helmet" sensation. They don't call that corner "madness" for nothing.
Turn 11
Another sudden steep drop, this one just before the exit as you are uncoiling the car. The other problem is the lack of run-off. You lose it here, it's a concrete wall. An M3 did just that, and flattened his whole left side, bumper to bumper
