Hello, My friend has a 2002 996 with a cracked cylinder. He plan to repair the engine and have now the Bentley manual, but there is very little information on how to split and assemble the engine? Otherwise excellent book, very well done. Is this info available somewhere else than the Porsche original manuals? Here is a lot of discussion about the water cooled engines and various failures, but I was not able to find any source for some engine assembly manual with torque values etc. (I'm really happy with my "simple" air cooled 911.)

Alldatadiy.com They have the factory service manuals you can access with a reasonable yearly subscription. They also have a service for professional shops but like the manuals it is prohibitively expensive, at least for me.
