Suggestion
Your Porsche looks nice and shiny, wheels look very nice, have the shop adjust the gap, and get the rear wing if that's the look you are after.

Run jersey plate up front...otherwise she looks great

Too bad you have to run the Jersey plate up front...otherwise she looks great.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had some minor work done on my car and I just got it back today.
I had:
- New OEM MKII side skirts (I had the wrong MKI's for the car).
- New OEM front bumper (my old one had a crack in it).
- New Victor Engineering wheels.
- New Mobil 1 oil
- New Motul trans fluid. I was having shift problems and now they seem to have gone away.
- Headlights re-shined. They were pretty cloudy.
- Got rid of the pumpkins for clear side markers.
Overall I'm reall happy how she came out. The way she used to look is in my Avatar, new pictures below.
It was raining pretty hard today. I'll post more soon when it's outside in the sunshine.
What do you think?
My only question now is, do I get a rear spoiler like the GT3 or do I leave it alone?
And one last thing...do I leave the color crests on the wheels or put black crests on the centers. I have both.
Thoughts on that? I'm now thinking black.
Ditto on the Jersey plates...put black centers on one side and colors on the other until you decide which ones you like more.
I too have thought about the GT3 wing but I think it's best to skip it.
I hate the plate on the front also but they really give you a hard time and give you tickets in the state.
I've even got a ticket in the parking lot.
It gets expensive. It's not worth it so I keep it on.
That's two votes for no wing...I wonder why that is. I think the wing is cool. Maybe being a 55 year old man I may look silly with a wing on it.
But you have to admit, my car with a rear spoiler looks great!!!
Love it, I would get the wing!
I would love to fit the GT3 spoiler to mine, but a genuine one for the carrera includes the boot lid and costs an absolute fortune.

You don't know the rules do you?
Black rims on gray car. Under 35 cool over 35 not cool.
Spoiler. Under 55 cool over 55 not cool.
I think there is couple threads on that.
Now you know.
The wings look great, but a lot of $$$$, and not at all necessary. The car looks fantastic either way. Personally I like the silver wheels and colored center crests. Not a fan at all of the blacked out wheels, which blends them in with the tires. Definitely take it back to the shop and have 'em tweak that front bumper cover.
My $0.02.
Have the same set-up on a 996.2 C2 -- turbo front bumper and OEM side-skirts -- thanks to POs. Getting the fixed rear-wing would seem to complete the package and balance things aerodynamically.

Pic you posted makes a pretty good case! Pls PM me with mfg you choose if you settle on the GT3 style rear-wing. Taco has grown on me but I think the Mk2 aero (GT3) wing is the way to go...
btw, here are options that I've found for a GT3 style fixed-wing:
Automotion
($850)
MA Shaw
($1375, includes wiring harness)
Checked LA Dismantlers and they've currently got several starting at $2500 if you want OEM. $3800 new from
Suncoast
.
Agree that the best rationale for this is performance -- i.e. go fast enough that it matters
-- then you don't need to worry about how it looks or age of driver.
Let us know where you land.
Mashaw is by far worth the extra money. I got mine from him and the fit is spot on. It is completely adjustable as well. *I got the RS version but same decklid.
Looking good!
Never really been a fan of black wheels; the silver looks much better.
I'm having the same debate about the rear wing. Looks good either way, though.
It's pretty cloudy out today but here are some more pictures!
I hate to say it, but I think I'm too old for a wing. It looks pretty good just the way it is.
Very pretty...just as it is.
Regarding the wing: my personal opinion is that if it's not a GT3, don't "badge it up" to look like one.
Just my opinion.
At the end of the day, it's your car to do as you please.
