Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all. The coolant level sensor in my 2 year old reservoir is leaking. Has anyone successfully removed the sensor without removing the reservoir also? The coolant hard pipe is located directly underneath the sensor. It wouldn't be such a big deal to drop the engine down a few inches, and remove the whole tank, if I didn't have supercharger plumbing to also remove.

POST 2Original post

You have to pull tank to get to sensor. May as well replace tank. Cap sure looks wrong.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm pretty sure that's a new cap. Was replaced two years ago when the tank was replaced. I was hoping to avoid pulling the tank, but @#$#@ happens. So, off comes the supercharger components. So instead of putting another sensor in, I'm going to plug the hole... permanently! Does anybody know what type of plastic the tank is made of? High-density polyethylene? Plastic welding is in my future! Whatever is used, it'll have to withstand high temp!

POST 5Original post

Yes, thats ashame about the tank. Maybe you will find something else when you remove it.
