Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

You MUST use a 40 amp Charger with a clean power souce...
Leading evidence: 'Clean power souce' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean power souce' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Echo +1, I would not be able to replace my 2nd gear + synchros if not for Skip.

Yes, the instrument cluster for C4 and C2 " are the same " but will need to be coded for the model ( either C2 or C4 ) using a PIWIS Tool...

If you create a VAL Log first so you can always reference the current state, you can make any changes you want and then change them back to current by using the VAL Log...( Vehicle Analysis Log)
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello everybody while chasing problematic indication from the fuel sender, it turns out that the problem lies in the instrument cluster. My instrument cluster has a different VIN, and it is now safe to say that the instrument cluster has been swapped in the past by a previous owner but from a C4 rather than a C2. C4 measures fuel in a different way compared to a C2 due to the tank design...
Is there anything I can do in coding to let the instrument cluster now this is a C2? Is there a proceduresl I can use? I have access to a PIWIS3.
Thanks,
Yes, the instrument cluster for C4 and C2 " are the same " but will need to be coded for the model ( either C2 or C4 ) using a PIWIS Tool...
The Tip cluster is physically different and is not compatible...
my car is a tiptronic. and it works well. how do I program it? can you help me?
I only see these values in coding, and the VIN is from the other car...
I retired before PIWIS 3 was out, but it is not a lot of difference in the meues from previous PIWIS versions and I could walk you through it over the phone or video-call...
But it is not that difficult. If you create a VAL Log first so you can always reference the current state, you can make any changes you want and then change them back to current by using the VAL Log...( Vehicle Analysis Log)
The only thing you can really screw up on is if you let the battery voltage get low during the operation.. You MUST use a 40 amp Charger with a clean power souce... Like a 13.5 volt 40 amp power source...r
