Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Seriously (?), I use my car as a DD, lots of street driving with regular oil changes at 5k miles.
Leading evidence: 'Use car as a dd, lots of street driving' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check oil regularly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Make sure it is at the appropriate fill ranges on the dipstick and digital monitor.

I would at least drop the engine and inspect the internals.

Change your oil at recommended intervals (at a minimum).

Suggestion
Oil level should stay roughly where it is between changes; if you are burning it to the degree you need frequent top offs, you have a problem or a worn engine.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So my car is not burning 1l/1000km. Is there something wrong IMS bearing eating it all up and spewing it back in as its slowly collapsing?
Is this normal?
The manual says the car will burn 1l of oil for every 1000km.. So when i do my oil changes every 5k I should have about 3l left. But I have way way more. Never measured it but the computer gage will move maybe one bar at most.
You better start reading up on your car, first it carries 9l of oil and if it is not burning a lot of oil that is a good thing. Get on here and start learning about what you have!!
55 posts is a lot for a Troll, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt on that one and say you aren't, but WTF?!? Your car ISN'T burning oil so you immediately assume it is IMS related? Employing your logic (if you can call it that), it didn't rain at my house today, so a drought must be imminent. Smh...
All right lets get my thread back on track. Forget about IMS, I know it's hard.
Back to Oil question. The manual says the car will burn 1l per 1000km. There is no way I am burning that much. Which in a normal car is a good thing. But I am wondering why I am not burning any. is that a sign of something wrong?
And why would they put that in manual. Its kinda scary. My lexus manual does not say it will burn 1l per 1000km and its a big SUV.
OK I will humor with an appropriate response:
The oil consumption guideline in the owners manual is to be considered a maximum value. If your car consumes more then that amount it indicates something is wrong. 1 liter/1000 kms or LESS is considered normal.
Is English your first language? Not to be rude, but the owners manual says nothing of the sort.
The manual
:
"It is normal for your engine to consume oil.
The rate of oil consumption depends on the quality
and viscosity of oil, the speed at which the engine
is operated, the climate, road conditions as well
as the amount of dilution and oxidation of the
lubricant.
If the vehicle is used for repeated short trips, and
consumes a normal amount of oil, the engine oil
measurement may not show any drop in the oil
level at all, even after 600 miles (1,000 km) or
more. This is because the oil is gradually becoming diluted with fuel or moisture, making it appear
that the oil level has not changed.
The diluting ingredients evaporate out when the
vehicle is driven at high speeds, as on an expressway, making it then appear that oil is excessively
consumed after driving at high speeds."
Nowhere through the following sections does it give a consumption rate or tolerance. Oil level should stay roughly where it is between changes; if you are burning it to the degree you need frequent top offs, you have a problem or a worn engine. Make sure it is at the appropriate fill ranges on the dipstick and digital monitor.
Change your oil at recommended intervals (at a minimum). Check your oil regularly. If your oil level is low, then add oil until the proper level has been reached. If the level is not low, then don't add oil. It's best to use the physical dipstick as opposed to the electronic gauge.
Proper html coding of your tongue-in-cheek posts will help prevent angry responses.
<sarcasm>So my car is not burning 1l/1000km. Is there something wrong IMS bearing eating it all up and spewing it back in as its slowly collapsing?</sarcasm>
Yes YOU would!
Seriously (?), I use my car as a DD, lots of street driving with regular oil changes at 5k miles. Only twice in the last 2 years have I had to add oil between the oil changes. And that was just because the oil gauge was a bar or 2 low. My car has never come close to being a liter down. I think you and your car are fine.
