That one is a little disappointing as I had the RMS change about year ago when the IMSB and clutch were changed.

Transmission does shift easier - I would say it made more of a difference after changing the fluid vs.

This weekend I did some maintenance on my '99 C2 6 sp. I changed: transmission fluid - used Mobil Delvac 75w-90 engine oil - used Joe Gibbs DT40 engine mounts -purchased the standard ones from Pelican fuel filter Everything went well - couple of minor things like interference from a coolant clamp when reinstalling the right side motor mount. The ground wire on the fuel filter would not budge initially, and with very little room to grab it, I ended up prying it off with a flat screw driver. Transmission does shift easier - I would say it made more of a difference after changing the fluid vs. changing the engine mounts (although they had dropped/stretched about 1/2 inch) Found a couple of small oil leaks -nothing that ends up in the floor yet. Leaking around one cylinder - suspect a spark plug tube and I think I have a RMS leak based on where there 2nd drip is. That one is a little disappointing as I had the RMS change about year ago when the IMSB and clutch were changed. All in all a good experience and glad to have these maintenance items off my list.

Any other tips on the motor mount replacement? I am doing the same next weekend.

It was quite easy. There are probably few places to get DIY instructions. I followed the steps on Pelican 's tech site. Note: some have questioned where or how you jack up the engine. In my case I put a short piece of 2 x 12 wood across the entire sump to spread the load. You're not trying to lift the back of car off the ground, just take the load off the mounts so you can swap them. Do one side at time. When I had one off I had to raise the engine a little more to get the new one to extend through the engine mount support bar as the new mounts will not extend down as far.
