Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I've had a '99 Boxster BSX for the past three years and it was totaled. Details and pic's here: http://986forum.com/forums/general-d...bad-today.html Just bought a '99 996 with 110K miles. Clutch done at 90K and pads/rotors, a/c compressor, and water pump done within the last year. Car has a bit of deferred maintenance but I should be able to do most of it myself. Replaced coil packs and plugs over the weekend and have motor mounts and 60K tune parts on order to be delivered this week. Wrecked Boxster BSX will be used to build out another chassis into a Spec Boxster race car.

POST 2Original post

Congrats on the car. Looks great. I especially like the wheels. '99's are the Best! Welcome to the best 996 chat group on the interwebs. Show us some interior pics too. We love pics. edit: just looked at the picture of your totaled boxter. Not a pretty sight. At least you weren't in the car at the time! Enjoy the 996.

POST 3Original post

Congrats on the new purchase. Those wheels are great to look at but terrible to clean. trust me, this is my second set.

I believe this is Zenith Blue (L3AX).

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wheels are option code M413 18" Sport Design. They give the car a very nice upgraded look.

Thank you! A new color to me but just as nice as Cobalt blue, in my opinion. Enjoy the rubber necking! I believe these wheels are 2-piece. I had one refinished this winter, due to PO's severe curb rash, for $250. Came out beautifully! Can't wait to get them to replace my winter's in a wk or 2.

POST 24Original post

Welcome thstone. Sorry to hear about the Boxster, but looks like you've moved on into a sharp 996. Looks quite good as is, but there's a good chance some modding will follow.
