Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

But are you able to check the oil with a dip stick like any normal car?

As for the dry sump, the 996tt has dry sump, but you check the oil electronically.

I believe you can check the oil the old-fashioned way, in addition to the electronic gauge - hopefully some GT3 owners will chime in.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Tomorrow my 2003 GT3 arrives. Lapis Blue, mint condition with a staggering 38000 k's on the clock. Not so much as a stone chip. Totally stock car with no stories.
I have a question, and sorry if it sounds like I am a bit slow. But are you able to check the oil with a dip stick like any normal car?
I see there are loads of upgrades for these cars, and way more options than I had with the 993TT. For instance, Fabspeed say that there air induction system offers amost as much horsepower improvement as a stock Skoda. How much BS is that?
I am very excited about tomorrow. Looking forward to hearing a GT3 at 8K RPM!
Congrats. Looking forward to seeing photos of your new GT3. I believe you can check the oil the old-fashioned way, in addition to the electronic gauge - hopefully some GT3 owners will chime in. As for upgrades, many of them are debatable. Intakes, headers, exhaust, etc. are all debatable. IMHO, Porsche put together a pretty fantastic machine in the factory. Enjoy!
Who is the dog in your avatar and why does it have bandages on its back legs and a hood on???????????????????? We have a white goldie with exactly the same mods. We put our mods on him to stop him from chewing on his back ankles. We rotate between the hood and the bandages. Hood off, bandages on............. Bandages off, hood on again lol. Almost fell from the computer chair when I saw it. Thought ours was unique but obvioulsy not so.
The guys in the 996 GT2/GT3 forum could answer all your technical questions. As for the dry sump, the 996tt has dry sump, but you check the oil electronically. Not sure if that tranlastes to the GT3.
